Swimming Reflection

Have you been practicing swimming lessons. Every day Room 13 year the 5 has swimming lessons for the past few weeks. Our class walks to the Glen Innes pools for about 30 minutes and a half an hour lesson. We need to learn how to swim so we can stay alive in the water. Our instructor was Laura. What we have learned from her was freestyle and backstroke arms. We have learned the tricky part which is when we swim six kicks and twirl our bodies around in the water. Things I should keep practicing in the water is kicking my feet faster. What I have learnt in the water is how to swim almost like a dolphin. It is really fun because we have to move our bodies up and down. Next time I will achieve my goal (Swimming Better) and to keep trying my best at swimming.

Paragraph Michigan

Here is a paragraph about me that I wrote for Miss Hart’s grade 3 calls in Michigan.

Greetings from the bottom of the world. My name is Jessica and my favourite colours are Black and Red because they are the colours of our uniform. I like to spend time with my family at Christmas. We celebrate Christmas because I like giving presents to all of my family and friends. It is really fun that they gave me cool stuff like a phone, new shoes and new hair style products.

Ugly Creature

I was working on adding detail to My sentences. Here's a story that I have written about Prince Theseus from a Greek Myth we've been reading.

Theseus was unhappy because his father made a bad decision. One morning Prince Theseus hurried away to destroy the evil Minotaur. When Princess Ariadne looked at him, she was deeply and madly in love with him. He didn't have any weapons so she offered him a ball of string and a sword. If he let out the string behind him, he would find his way out of the Labyrinth. Ariadne made a deal with him. She really wanted Prince Theseus to whisk her away so others could admire her. Theseus, brave and strong as a rhino, entered into the maze searching for the nasty, stinky, ugly creature. Immediately he found the minotaur. Slowly reaching down, he grabbed his sword and sliced off it's head.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as I post.
