The life-cycle of a Monarch Butterfly

This is about the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly.  The life cycle starts as a tiny egg changes through different stages, turns inside out and becomes a  Monarch butterfly.



The egg
The Monarch female butterfly attaching the egg near to a milk weed plant.When she lays the egg it will soon turn into a caterpillar.The egg is tiny, round and has ribs.





Caterpillar
When the little egg comes out it will be a little baby caterpillar,it will grow and eat lots until he will turn his skin inside out and stay their.




Chrysalis
After that it will hang upside down for a while and the chrysalis or (pupa) is the transformation stage within which the caterpillar tissues are broken down and the adult insect’s structures are formed. The chrysalis could be brown or green.

Butterfly
The chrysalis will open up and spread out the wings and then become a new Monarch butterfly.Female butterfly and the Male will start courtship and then mating and out will come an egg.
