Tamaki College Experience
This week on Tuesday the year 8 students went down to Tamaki College to experience the life time there and any other college's . We have learned so much about classes and how their day goes and stuff. Here is some paragraphs to tell you how it went.
Yesterday in the morning the year 8 students from Point England School went down to Tamaki College. The reason why we went there was because us year 8’s have to know now what we are going to do next year when we go to different college’s. When we arrived there, there was students that recently attended at our school last year and the year before that but, now they go to Tamaki College. They were our guidance leaders.
While we were waiting in the auditorium (hall) Mrs Moore one of the deputy principals welcomed us and told us what we were going to do. After when Mrs Moore welcomed us and everything we went to our first high school classes which was Social Studies & Maths. In Social Studies we learned about how we get to school and how other kids around the world get to school. In Maths class we had a teacher called Mrs Dunn. She was very kind and I liked how she teaches Maths to kids because she explains it very clearly and she waits for us until we get the strategy of something.
During the day we went to some more classes like English and P.E and learnt heaps more of information. Also they provided morning tea and lunch for us which was pretty nice of them to do. What we had for morning tea and lunch was a water bottle, a fruit, muesli bar, Subway and burgers, they were so delicious. We finished the day off with some fun games in the Rex Center (sports hall). I had a fun day at Tamaki learning things about college.

Ratios
This Week in our Maths class we are learning about Ratios. This presentation is just filled with simple easy questions about Ratios and there is also some videos in the presentation that shows a little bit of information about Ratios. So it's just like a warm up presentation. I'll also publish another presentation that is kind of challenging but I'll try my best to get the right answer for all of the questions. I hope you enjoy my presentation about Ratios. Goodbye.

Algorithm 2
This week our Maths class have been taught by our teacher how to use algorithm. At first I was kind of struggling to use the algorithm strategy, at the end of the week I now know how to use it from the help of my friends. Algorithm helps me to solve problems really quick. My working out is in my maths book if you want to know. I hope you enjoyed this little moment of presentment.

Article
Hello there, as you can see here there is a presentation. The presentation is about an article that my reading group has been reading and the article is talking about a famous Olympian Runner called Brenda Martinez. If you don't know who Brenda Martinez is you should probably start investigating her more and get some information about her. So when Brenda Martinez was a young girl she couldn't afford to buy a new pair of running shoes. The shoes that she wore to school is the same shoes that she wore to her practice (Brenda Martinez was poor when she was little). Now Brenda Martinez gets running shoes from her sponsor's, New Balance and she also gives free running shoes to young runners. I hope you enjoy my presentation.
